In the industry

Industrial Workers Of The World Day: this one’s for all the Bob the Builders out there, as well as all the Terry the Technicians, Marvin the Machinists, Wallace the Welders, Ethel the Engineers, Molly the Mechanics, Lenny the Labourers, and yes, even Bubba the Brake Press Operators.

Without you guys, the world would quite literally grind to a halt, leaving people like me flapping around asking if anyone needs a writer, when what they really need is a plumber, electrician, forklift truck driver or refrigeration specialist.

So please don’t go anywhere, guys, because if you do I’m going to find myself having to step up, and most likely losing an arm to an industrial vice within five minutes of my first shift.
