I love the way these occasions sometimes complement one another perfectly. Newspaper Carrier Day is one for all those paperboys/girls out there, and Another Look Unlimited Day pushes us to search through our old stuff and not throw it in the bin after all, but to pass it down to those who will appreciate them all over again.
Take the opportunity to find all those crinkled, faded, out-of-date newspapers that have been shoved down the side of the sofa or under the bed, stacked in the garage or stuck in the window of the spare room that you still haven’t redecorated, and give them all to Auntie Mildred or Grandpa Bob. Surely they’ll appreciate such a thoughtful gift, but if you don’t think they will, just pay the paperboy to secretly dump them on their doorstep. Two birds, one stone.
