Roald Dahl Day is one that everyone can enjoy, because who doesn’t love the amazing storyteller that used to write bestsellers in his garden shed? Plus this year celebrates the thirtieth birthday of ‘The BFG’, which is very appropriate as a friend of mine calls me The BNG (Big Northern Giant) and I turned thirty earlier this year.
It’s also Peanut Day, the perfect opportunity to share a giant bag of the scrummdiddlysplunking little things with your favourite human bean. Then maybe, if there’s time, you could polish off a crodtickling snozzcumber for dessert, glug some moochsquiddly frobscottle, and indulge in a bit of delumpling whizzpopping before bed.
As The BFG might say, cracketybunkum!
