What a year! 2019 has been an amazing year of celebrations but we ain’t stopping just yet! 2020 is going to be another fun-packed year and I will be sharing more celebrations with you. If there are any you would like to see me celebrate then give me a shout over on our Facebook page.
Dice are popular throughout the world, but they hold a special place in my heart as an avid DnD player! This year I started a new campaign with my friends and it is going so well. We have a few noobies and a few vets on the team and it has been an interesting learning experience.
We have all got our own set of dice to use but I had to get myself a set in one of my favorite colors. I actually found these in a huge fishbowl at the local game store and had to fish (lol) out a full set. Though I think I am missing one out of the set. Oh well!
The main aim of this day is to remember those that have passed and honor their memory. Candles are lit at the same time in every time zone, meaning that a consistent warm glow passes around the planet for a full 24-hour day.
For me lighting a candle is a way for me to remember my family that is no longer with us. If I am in a church and I walk past somewhere where I can light a candle, I will light one for my family and donate to the church as well. This is something that has become a tradition for me.
Is there anything more tranquil them watching clouds pass over a mountain. There is something very relaxing and enchanting about just staring at the mountains no matter where in the world you are.
Mountains are some of the most beautiful of nature’s structures, stolid and regal they stand against the sky, of such a size that they can catch entire countryside’s in their shadow, and turn back the ravages of storms against their unflinching sides.
I got a great present last Christmas in the form of a monthly tea club! You get a variety of teas throughout the year and they are themed to the time of year. In the summer they are super fruity and then in the Autumn/Winter then turned super snug and warming.
I have had some amazing teas throughout the year and I have some favorites picked out to top up! Bird and Blend do an amazing job of picking out flavors. I have really loved this subscription and I am hoping to catch up on all the teas I have, yes I got behind a little during the summer!
Everyone has that one Christmas sweater that is just urgh. Today is the perfect day to get that jumper out and share it with the world. Personally I have about 5 Christmas sweaters and I rotate through them for the month of December.
I always try to encourage people to wear a sweater when it gets close to Christmas so that everyone is in the mood for the time of year. It is something very small that brings a smile to people’s faces. And what more could you ask for at this time of year!
There is nothing like having a few candy canes on the Christmas tree! Though there is some debate over where candy canes came from did you know the world’s largest candy cane was created in 2011 and was 63 feet tall.
I love these little treats and they are a great way to keep the kids quiet for a little while at least. Well, and the grown-up to be fair as well! Candy canes can also be used for toppings on desserts or as an extra in hot chocolate, yes, a candy cane hot chocolate stirrer! Guess what I did!?
New Year’s eve is probably one of the biggest parties of the year and friends come together and celebrate the coming of a new year and new opportunities! Whether you go out or stay in its a great excuse to pop a bottle or two.
I stayed in with friends on New Year’s eve we played games sang songs and brought in the new year with a bang! 2020 is a big year for a lot of my friends and me but I can’t wait to see what it brings.
There is so much coming in the New Year and I have so much going on in my own life as well! I have so many plans in places and I need to break them down a bit more but I have a clear idea of what I want to get out of 2020. Have you got your plans in place for 2020?
