There was a lot to celebrate this past month. But isn’t there always. What’s great is that you guys are sharing more and more with us and we are loving it!

This month kicked off with Employee Appreciation Day. There’s that old saying “An office can operate without a boss for a day, but not without a receptionist” and everyone was spreading the love. I actually took the day off, might as well treat myself!

One of my favorite days soon followed International Women’s Day. It is all about celebrating these incredible people and showing them how much we respect and value them. The women in our lives do so much for us and we should be thanking them every day! It only takes a few seconds to say thank you to the amazing women that we encounter throughout the day.

This next day had a few British people confused. Though it’s called International Fanny Pack Day they actually refer to them as a Bum Bags. This means something very different in the US. Isn’t language funny!

Natasha kindly shared a photo of her rocking her fanny pack over on our Facebook page. Though the meaning of the day was lost on some British people in a fit of giggles. I think that it is a great cause and that it should be celebrated all year round rather than just one day a year.

Aiming to use this fun fashion accessory to shine a light on a serious social issue, helping the hungry.

There are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer your time to help deliver food, or serve meals. You can organize a food drive to help food pantries.

I love cooking and I have always been fascinated with corn dogs. So naturally on Corn Dog Day I thought I would try my hand at making some. Needless to say I need to get some more practice in cooking them as they were a bit of a failure.

I think that this may also be one of those foods like Marmite that you either love them or hate them. You guys were very divided in your opinions of them. I did one year make them correctly and they were great but this year was a bit of a fail!

From the 20th to the 23rd there was a bit of a Harry Potter binge going on! Each house of the great Hogwarts had it’s own days celebration. Remembering those that founded each house and the great wizards and witches that they had sent out into the world.

Okay, some were better than others, you know, he who must not be named. It also gives fans of the book/movie series to reflect on those’s that lost their lives in the battle against him.

Oh, and in case you were wondering my house is Ravenclaw. Jono, on the other hand, is a Slytherin. Rob is in Gryffindor.

And as we head towards the end of the month I was getting a bit of a sweet tooth, were you? Well Black Forest Cake Day had us covered for getting our chocolate cherry creamy cake fix.

Now I am not a baker, but I would love to be able to make cakes. I just don’t have the patience to do it. A lot of people shared their recipes and who made there favorite cake or where they would go to get a slice.

I know that we are a few days into April but there is so much to look forward to this month and I can’t wait to see how you are going to celebrate. What day are you looking forward too?
