What a month! I had a lot of travel and was unable to celebrate a lot of these myself but you guys knocked it out of the park. I did get to celebrate a few myself so here are a few that I was able to celebrate.

Stationery Day

I love stationery! Like this goes back to my childhood, there was nothing like going to a stationery shop before the beginning of term and getting fresh supplies!

There is a huge industry around stationery and it is only increasing with Etsy and Folksy. It’s not only just pens and notebooks that you can buy there are planners and workout journals even stickers to mark certain things!

Star Wars Day

It is fair to say that a few people like Star Wars. I am certainly one of them but not to the degree of some people though. I love the movies and the animated series, I grew up with them on in our house.

I celebrated with a good old marathon of the movies from start to current, I know that you are going to ask which order did I watch them in. Well, I watch them episodically rather than the release date. I know a few people will roll their eyes at this, but it’s just the way I prefer to watch them.

Lost Sock Memorial Day

We all have that box of unpaired socks somewhere in our cupboard. Don’t tell me you don’t know what I am on about. You have one as well! And if like me you go through it every now and then and try to partner up the socks that are in there.

But there will come a time where you just need to have a quiet moment and realize that you just need to come to term with the fact that some socks will have lost their partner and they will never be a pair again. Today is the day to have that ceremonial trashing of the mispaired socks.

Notebook Day

I love a good notebook! I may or may not have several around the house. There are people who would call me mad for loving notebooks but in the ever busy digital world to be able to sit and take stock is still needed in this busy world.

There are so many options out there for you to use and one of my favorites is the Filofax Notebook. It’s durable and puts up with my life and it’s refillable. If you are feeling fancy you can buy the punch and create your own paper.

But if this isn’t your thing there are plenty of other notebooks out there! There is a notebook for everyone. Another one of my favorites is the Leuchtturm1917. There are great hardwearing notebooks.

Macaroon Day

Not to be confused with Macaron Day which is on the 23rd of March. Which will need to be celebrated next year. But here and now I am celebrating the Macaroon that is the tasty coconut brother of the fancier version.

I found a really simple recipe to make these and they took no time at all to do. Jon is not a fan of coconut so I will be eating these all on my own. I’m not complaining. One thing I wish I did do though is to get some dark chocolate to dip them in. Oh well, maybe next time.

Another month gone and more celebration to come. June is packed with loads of great celebrations and awareness days. What are you looking forward to?
