Third bean from the sun

Third bean from the sun

The double occasions are becoming greater in number and closer together, and today brings us Earth Day, which celebrates the planet and its environment, and Jelly Bean Day, which is pretty self-explanatory, as well as the sweetest of them all.

In order to combine the two, I’ve planted a jelly bean tree on my garden windowsill. I plan to post a comment on this blog entry a year from now (months after the project will have ended – I’ve popped it in my Google Calendar) that will link to a photo of the tree’s twelve-month progress. Hopefully it will show me waist-deep in confectionery, although I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll simply be pointing at a dusty, unchanged pot with a look of dejection. Only time will tell.

Now go on, ya’ll, go stuff your faces with candy whilst hugging a tree, it’s what nature intended.
