Touching base

20th Oct, 2012 | Posted by in Blog

I live near the Humber Bridge so thought I might do a spot of base jumping for Bridge Day. However, it turns out that the official celebration takes place at the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayettevilla, West Virginia, where thousands gather to watch participants plunge an incredible 876 feet.

This is probably for the best as I’ve never been base jumping before and don’t own a parachute. Plus have you seen the River Humber? I’d probably dissolve if I landed in it.
