Creators breathe life into all sorts of spaces in the world. From art to literature, from technology to media, creative people contribute to the human experience in a myriad of ways.

International Creator Day acts as an opportunity to show appreciation for the community of creators, acting as an inspiration and encouraging more folks to join in on the fun!

How to Celebrate International Creator Day

Get creative with your ideas, or start thinking about celebrating International Creator Day in some of these ways to get started:

Create Something!

One of the best things about International Creator Day is that every person on the planet is invited to participate!

From creating a new poem, a piece of artwork, a hand-crafted piece of furniture, or some online content, the options are virtually endless in how this event can be used to inspire and promote the imaginative, creative minds of human beings.

Become a Content Creator

Folks who have a niche space that they are passionate about might find that International Creator Day is just the time to share themselves and their knowledge with the world.

Start a blog, upload some videos and reels to Instagram, or head over to TikTok to provide some unique content that the world has been missing. Whatever platform, whatever target audience, and whatever style is chosen, get inspired to share what you’re passionate about!

Collaborate with Other Creators

International Creator Day is just the time to see what kind of synergy can arise when creators put their gifts together.

For online content creators, this might mean collaborating on a podcast or YouTube video. For artists, this could mean joining together on a project that will benefit the local community. For filmmakers, this could mean coordinated efforts to produce a short film together.

Host an International Creator Day Event

Consider celebrating this day by hosting an event that brings together creators from a wide range of arenas to connect, brainstorm, and promote the benefits of creating in community.

Perhaps it would be an educational event where creators can hone their skills through workshops or maybe more of an expo where creators can show off their work.

History of International Creator Day

The idea of being a content creator might seem like a modern one in some aspects, coming along with the age of the internet.

Influencers and creators of content have been around for centuries, but simply with different platforms and media. Even so, the internet has opened the door for creative people from a huge range of sectors to build into what they enjoy and make an impact all over the globe.

International Creator Day first got its start in 2016 when it was founded by YouTube influencer Casey Neistat. The inspiration behind the day was to honor the passion and hard work of content creators across all online platforms.

Since that time, the day has become much more than that – with an invitation of creators of all kinds to celebrate, collaborate, and reveal their passions as they seek to inspire the world at large.
