With food insecurity, a rising cost of living, and a growing sense of need in communities all over the nation, National Kiss of Hope Day seeks to encourage individuals, families, and groups to take a little bit of time and make a bit of effort to help those who are struggling.

Get involved with this day by lending a hand to a neighbor, making a donation to a food pantry or finding some other creative way to provide a kiss of hope to someone – on this important day and every day throughout the year!

History of National Kiss of Hope Day

National Kiss of Hope Day was established in 2015 through the efforts of Bill Gobin on behalf of the Kiss of Hope Foundation.

Gobin, a single parent, had the idea to found this day with the purpose of building a community where everyone will be inspired to help each other in a range of different ways.

Committed to enriching the lives of individuals, families and entire communities, the Kiss of Hope Foundation works to help those in need with practical resources such as putting food on the table, paying rent for a roof over their heads and making sure their children are clothed.

National Kiss of Hope Day is just another way to champion the good will and harmony that comes with bringing hope to another human being.

How to Celebrate National Kiss of Hope Day

National Kiss of Hope Day brings all sorts of opportunities to be creative by meeting the needs of folks in the local community as well as across the nation. Get inspired about ways to celebrate by taking a look at some of these ideas:

Give a Kiss of Hope

Be the bright spot in someone’s life and make a difference in the world by planning out some ways to celebrate National Kiss of Hope Day!

Make a donation to a local food bank, sign up to volunteer for a tutoring program, make a donation of school supplies or get involved with the community in some other ways that will bring light and life to someone’s day.

Check on Neighbors

Communities in today’s modern era often live in very isolated conditions, even when they are right next door to one another!

National Kiss of Hope Day is a great time to consider fostering better relationships with neighbors.

Bake them some cookies, invite them to a barbecue, or plan some other thoughtful activity of inclusion, especially for folks who might need some extra help, such as elderly people or single moms.

Host a Kiss of Hope Day Event

Schools, community advocacy groups, non-profit organizations, churches, city organizers,, and other groups can all get involved with National Kiss of Hope Day by promoting good will through community events.

Host a fundraiser such as a 5K or 10K walk/run that can help bring people together around a common cause such as food insecurity or helping other people in need.
