Beer, my surrogate sister

5th Aug, 2012 | Posted by in Blog

I don’t have a sister so I can’t really mark Sisters’ Day, although I wish a very happy celebration to all those female siblings out there and wish you well in crimping each other’s eyebrows, or whatever it is that you do together.

As for today’s other occasion, Beer Day, well, that’s a no-brainer. Quite literally.

So I’d also like to raise a glass to all those sisters out there, as well as to all the brothers, fathers, mothers, grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, associates, work colleagues, family doctors, postmen, dinner ladies, taxi drivers, electricians, upholsterers, French polishers, gardeners, assembly line workers, lollipop people and household pets. In fact, I may well raise a respective glass to each of you in turn over the course of the evening. It’s a special occasion after all, I wouldn’t want to miss anyone out.
