(En)danger(ed) is its middle name

Good Lord, can it be? Never in all my days did I dream I would lay eyes upon this majestic creature.

Like the loggerhead sea turtle and Iberian lynx, the Yorkshire boxcat is steadily heading the way of the sabre-toothed tiger, the dodo and the Betamax toploader.

Have you ever before witnessed such a magnificent beast? Beautiful and strong, reticent yet proud; a subspecies that will truly be missed, should its presence cease gracing this suddenly inhospitable planet.

We must now leave it to its mating ritual, playfully named ‘peekaboo-I-see-you’ by the locals, and proffer our deepest respects for Endangered Species Day. Incredible.
