Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.

Albus Dumbledore

There are days when the darkness is on us like the sun of hope has eclipsed itself against the moon of adversity, and in those moments it seems like in the end darkness will genuinely triumph. If you are one of those who sees this challenge, pulls together your courage, and charges into the fray to bring the light of hope back to your friends and loved ones, or just because it’s the right thing to do, then Gryffindor Pride Day is for you.

History of Gryffindor Pride Day

Gryffindors are some of the bravest, most heroic, selfless people you’ll ever meet. To them, the whole world is just one great big opportunity to sacrifice themselves in the most glorious way so that they’ll be remembered for all time. Alright, put it that way, maybe they’ve got a bit of an ego problem, but we won’t hold that against them.

In all seriousness, if you’re ever in a bind, whether that’s being hunted by the Dark Lord or broke down on the side of the road, it’s a Gryffindor you’re going to want to call. No matter what they’re doing, they’re going to drop it all to come and help save you from your troubles.

So when Gryffindor Pride Day comes around be sure to honor all your favorite Gryffindor friends, or if you’re a Slytherin trick them into some foolish heroic that will undoubtedly result in their untimely, but completely memorable, demise.

How to celebrate Gryffindor Pride Day

When you’re preparing to celebrate Gryffindor Pride Day you can fall back on that old standby; the House themed cake. From there you may want to get a little more inventive.

Since you’re tanked up on all that sugar, it’s time to make some foam and duct-tape swords and go out back and play in the yard! Following that it’s time for the obligatory Harry Potter marathon, and, of course, when celebrating Gryffindor Pride Day remember to take a moment and celebrate the life and death of Cedric Diggory.

Don’t let Gryffindor Pride Day pass by without thanking those amazing people in your life that are always your hero when you need them.
