History of World Franchise Day
World Franchise Day got its start in 2025 when it was officially proclaimed by the World Franchise Council (WFC) at their gathering in Las Vegas, in collaboration with the European Franchise Federation (EFF).
In addition, the initiative is supported by an expanding network of industry stakeholders as well as national franchise associations.
The proclamation of the event was formalized with a declaration for Franchise Day, which was signed by key representatives who are part of the international franchise community.
This international initiative was established with the purpose of celebrating and promoting the positive impact that franchising has on businesses and communities throughout the globe.
The impact is far reaching, including factors such as entrepreneurship, sustainable economic growth and employment opportunities.
