How to Celebrate World Passkey Day
Learn More About Passkeys
Wondering what the big deal is about passkeys and why they are important? To begin with, it would be a good idea to get up to date on understanding more about this form of security. Here are a few facts:
Unlike passwords, passkeys incorporate biometric data, making it more difficult for someone to gain unauthorized access to accounts
Passkeys are stored locally instead of on servers, making them more secure
Passkeys are based on cryptography and cannot be guessed because they do not involve personal information
Passkeys are more resistant to theft and phishing tactics used by cyber criminals
Start Using Passkeys
Some people might feel hesitant to use new technology when they aren’t familiar with it or they don’t understand it. World Passkey Day is the perfect time to get involved with this important effort by changing from traditional passwords to passkeys on the digital platforms that offer this option.
